The re-imagined former Atlanta Journal-Constitution building at 72 Marietta Street. Downtown architectural firm Stanley, Beaman & Sears was recently named the winner of the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs’ RE-DESIGN competition, which sought a creative solution for the 3,000-sq ft vacant lobby space of the building.
The new function of this space will serve the City of Atlanta as a contemporary gallery, hosting local, national and international works of art on view for the public.

Our beloved Flatiron Building
On May 23, Georgia Public Broadcasting will premiere John Portman: A Life of Building, an acclaimed documentary chronicling the career of one of Atlanta’s most famous architects. Portman is renowned worldwide, and is responsible for some of our city’s most famous designs, including the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
The One Ninety One Building in Downtown will be illuminated in blue this April in support of Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month.
